At 7Dental Pediatrics we recommend seeing children for their first dental appointment when their teeth begin erupting, or by their first birthday. These first dental visits are crucial for building comfort and trust with our pediatric dental team. At these appointments we will examine your child’s teeth and gums to ensure they are healthy and on track. Dental radiographs (x-rays) may be taken to assess for decay, eruption, and possible developmental concerns. Early years appointments may also include dental cleanings, and the application of Fluoride treatments as needed. Our Pediatric Specialist is passionate about preventative dentistry, and will ensure you have the knowledge and skills to maintain your child’s smile for life.

Decay can occur in both baby teeth and adult teeth. It is important to address decay at any age as it can cause discomfort, damage to surrounding teeth, and issues with future teeth. We are able to remove areas of decay, and repair damaged enamel with composite resin material. Our specialists ensure top comfort with specialized numbing gels, and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) as needed.
Extractions of baby teeth or adult teeth may be necessary in some cases. Our specialists are able to provide extractions comfortably, and safely with the use of various numbing techniques and nitrous oxide(laughing gas) as needed.
Nitrous Oxide is commonly referred to as laughing gas. It is used to help manage discomfort and anxiety during dental treatments. Using an inhalation technique, the gas is able to provide relaxation and comfort, while remaining fully conscious. Dr. Andrew Davidson is also able to provide treatments under General Anaesthetic at HSA Hospital as needed.
Certain teeth develop with larger pits and grooves that can easily trap harmful bacteria. This type of bacteria can lead to early tooth decay. Preventative Resins are able to fill and smooth deep pits and grooves to create a less susceptible surface. This process does not require any anaesthetic, and helps to promote healthy teeth for life.
Bumps, falls, and sports accidents happen! Our specialist is here to help treat any pediatric dental emergency. We are able to provide quick and effective treatments, to limit possible future complications.

Who would have ever though that having a root canal, a filling, a tooth extraction or an implant would be a pleasant experience? Well, I have had Dr. Scott perform all of the above and I could not recommend anybody more highly. In addition to the good doctor’s professionalism and exemplary bedside mannerisms the rest of the clinic staff are quick to follow suit.
I got a couple teeth removed and my braces here in 2020. My braces are out (April 2022) and I am very happy with the results. I also do my cleaning here. I love the service. I am constantly recommending them to family, colleagues, friends and even strangers because they are amazing and take really good care of me.
Highly professional clinic with excellent staff and procedures. Appointments are always on-time and it’s the first time I’ve ever not dreaded going to the dentist. Regular checkups with a well managed process of reminders ensures problems are picked up early. Dr.Scott is an exceptional dentist and he has brought together a very high-caliber team.
Could not recommend more. I have been afraid of the dentist since i was a child and thanks to Dr Scott i have totally overcome that. Thanks to him and his exellent team i have the smile i always dreamed of.
I had 6 month braces done with doctor Kate on my lower teeth and I’m really happy with the results. No one really even noticed I had braces on. I also got Botox in my armpits which is amazing as I workout at lunch most days and go back into the office.
At Seven Mile Beach Dental, I experienced extraordinary services coupled with genuine care and comfort that exceeded my expectations. My orthodontist Miss. Harriet demonstrates exceptional professionalism and a warm and sincere interest in your dental health. I am a satisfied customer.
I’ve been going to SMB Dental Clinic for the last 13 years and the service has always been exceptional. I’ve recommended them to several of my friends and colleagues and they have always been grateful for the recommendation – especially after a poor experience elsewhere.
My family has been seeing Dr. Scott for almost 20 years. He always has the most advanced techniques and equipment. But what really blew me away was how much they think about how the client “feels”. They care more about the client experience than they do about rushing people through so they can make more money. This team is the best.
Everyone in the office starting from reception, office staff, assistants, hygienists & of course Dr. Mcfarlane were all welcoming, courteous, knowledgeable & as a newer patient took the time to get to know me. I really appreciate the professionalism of Dr. Mcfarlane & his team who took the time to explain a treatment plan and the “why behind the what.”
